Building a Solar Panel

power4homeA lot of people are under the impression that solar panels are some kind of super high tech device that is built in a laboratory grade factory. The truth is, solar panels are actually quite easy to build, if you have the right guide to teach you. Building a solar panel is most definitely worth the time, because it will save you thousands of dollars per year on electricity, and it will also help the environment as well. If you are looking to “go green”, then I would highly recommend you consider building your own solar panel as your first option.

Once you know how to construct a solar panel, you will then have the ability to increase the size of the system, make critical adjustments, and even offer your services to people in the community. This will give you the opportunity to MAKE money off of your new found talent. In fact, in the Power4Home guide there is even a entrepreneurship section, that teaches you exactly how you can start your own business with your ability to make solar panels.

You don’t have to use the solar panel that you build for your home only. It can be used anywhere you see fit, including in the RV, the boat, the cabin, the car or anywhere else you would need power. A solar panel basically serves as storage place for solar cells. The solar cells absorb the sun’s rays and convert them into energy that we can use, electricity. After you have learned how to contain the solar cells, then building the solar panel is really just learning how to wire the panels.

There are several kinds of solar cells that you may choose to work with. If you are on a budget, then you may choose to work with refurbished or even damaged solar cells. A lot of the time, you can find damaged solar cells that will still do their job efficiently. If you are going to use damaged cells, then you should learn how to inspect them and see what is worth buying and what is not.

If you would like to learn how to build a solar panel, then you are going to need a good guide. One such guide is the Power4Home guide. It is packed with instructions, diagrams and even more than 3 hours of instructional video! With this guide, even a small child could learn how to build a solar panel. The guide also has a section that teaches you how to make wind turbines as well. There is even a section for entrepreneurship, that will teach you how to start your own business with your newfound knowledge!

Power 4 Home

power4home

The cost of energy is on the rise. Rates for electricity and gas just keep sky rocketing. It seems like the money you make, goes out faster than it comes in! The bills just pile up. There does seem to be at least one smart alternative to this problem. You can harvest your own solar and wind energy to help offset your expenses. Maybe you can find something better to spend your hard earned money on. Wouldn’t that be nice?
Let me tell you a little bit about Power4home. Not only is there the potential for great savings but it is also very environment friendly. As if that is not already enough of a reason to start creating your own solar and wind energy, there is another benefit. If you are to generate more energy than you actually use, you are entitled to a refund by your power company. How neat is that? So essentially, not only are you saving money and helping the environment, you may be making money in the process!
?
An electrician by the name of John Russell invented power4home. He used his years of expertise and experience in the electricity field and came up with a solution to the ever rising cost of energy. His system allows you to harvest your own energy with a very small investment and with very little equipment . This system is now easily available to anyone who wants to buy it and utilize it. You will notice a huge savings as soon as you have this system installed.
When you begin shopping for a home energy system, you will find that most of them are extremely expensive. It would take you quite awhile to make up for your initial investment. With power4home, you can have it installed and working for just about $200.00. Let’s face it, you would probably make that up within the first month! Not only is this product going to save you money but it could possibly even make you money. Save money and protect the environment. Who loses?
?
You can choose solar energy or wind energy, or both even, depending on where you live. If you live in Chicago, known for being the “Windy City”, you might choose the windmill option. If you live in sunny South Florida, you would probably benefit from the solar panel. Even you really want to make sure you get the highest yield of energy, you could even use both. Either way, I see no reason not to give it a try. I highly recommend it. What have you got to lose?

7 Useful Tips on Saving Energy

power4homeWith so much of energy being built into our daily system, the world suffers from excessive carbon emissions. One is sure to be surprised when they sit down and actually count their carbon footprints released everyday. The average home in the United States itself produces 150 pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere just by doing normal daily activities. These estimates have been released by National Geographic. What do we need to do to save energy and reduce our consumption? Here are a few simple steps;

Turn off the lights: – Whenever a room is not being used, make sure the lights are switched off, also if you have to leave the house and won’t be back in less than 5 minutes, turn off the lights!

Switch things off that don’t need to be on: – Electrical appliances like Televisions, radios, stereos, computers should be shut down and unplugged if no one is using them.

Air conditioning: – It gets hot during the summers and becomes unbearable, you can turn on the thermostat at an ideal 85 degrees, this way you will not require a lot of air conditioning. Fans can be turned on as they use less electricity and will cool upto 5 degrees. In the winter, wear warm clothes and keep the thermostat at 68 degrees.

In the bathroom: – Wasting water accounts for wastage in electricity. This is because electricity is used to supply water in big cities. Not wasting water will help save gallons of water per year. Leaky taps and faucets should be repaired so that they don’t leak.

Microwave uses: – Your microwave can be used to heat small amounts food, instead of turning on the stove. On the contrary if you’re cooking large amounts of food, the stove is ideal.

Refrigerator: – At all times make sure that the door of the refrigerator is closed well. If not cold air will escape outside and a lot more energy will be used to cool the inside of the fridge.

Energy efficient appliances: – These will help save a considerable amount of energy, since electronics make 20% of energy use. When buying an appliance, check for its energy efficiency.

With these simple steps it will be much easier for an individual to save on energy.

Is Off Grid Solar Power the Answer For Your Home?

power4home

Using off grid solar power has gotten a lot easier now, with recent improvements in technology and an increased concern about the environment.

Once limited to people who lived in remote places where electricity was either expensive, inconvenient, or impossible, off grid homes are now moving closer to civilization. Taking your home off the municipal power grid is less expensive and easier than it has ever been, and solar power is the most common way to do it.

In a setup like this, you will need:

  • solar panels
  • a regulator
  • batteries

An inverter allows you to use AC power instead of DC, and most systems have computerized control centers to make it easy to monitor what’s going on in your system. Whether or not your home is right for off grid solar power will depend on your location and how your home is situated.

It is important to be able to get enough hours of sunlight per day to charge your batteries with all the power you need.  In southern latitudes with mostly clear weather, this can be pretty easy. However, farther north, or where there is often a lot of cloud cover, this can be trickier.

Before you start installing an off grid solar system you should evaluate if your home receives enough sunlight to merit one. If not, you may wish to look at other sources of green power, such as wind.

There’s a limit to how much power can currently be produced from the sun. Solar panels are costly and you need plenty of space.  This means that most people in off grid situations need to carefully monitor their usage to make sure that they are not overtaxing the system. When you’re off the grid and you’re out of power, you’re really out of power, after all.

However, most people are able to reduce their power requirements to the point where they can meet their energy production and they always have plenty of stored energy for their daily routines.

Off grid solar power is a great choice if you want to be more self reliant, are concerned about the sustainability of your power generation, or if you just want to be able to control things a little more.

It will save you money in the long run, though initial setup can be costly. You won’t have to worry about rate hikes or inconsistent service.  It’s all in your hands.  In return, you must learn to take care of your system and adjust your life accordingly.  For many people, it’s worth it.
